Re: intercooler?

You can use a 2.2 T-II setup complete w/ airbox, radiator/intercooler combo on your car. It all bolts up.

You could also fab up some brackets and mount just about any I/C that will physically fit in the front. G-bodies have quite a bit of space, so large NPR's fit, so do SRT-4 I/C's.

Then get a grainger valve and crank the boost to 14 PSI and you'll really be hooked on boost!

Re: intercooler?

Best place is a junkyard, Mopar sells some of it, but it's really expensive new. See if you can find a Daytona Shelby, it has all the stuff.

www.dawesdevices.com for the grainger valve. Basically it is the same thing as an HKS Manual Boost Controller, but doesn't cost nearly as much. Your stock injectors will handle 14 PSI but don't go over 12 without an intercooler.

Not all Shelby Daytonas are T2. In 87,88,89, and 90 about half were T1 with the automatic tranny (146hp) with no intercooler and half were the T2 intercooled with the manual A555 tranny (174hp). In 1991 all were T1' with either the A413 auto tranny or the manual A568 which is the toughest tranny made for the FWD turbo cars.

I'd look for a stock setup on Ebay from a parted out car if you want to do the intercooler setup with minumal money. Go to www.turbododge.com to learn more stuff about the turbo dodge cars than you mind can comprehend.
