my day at the drag strip

thats right my auto cavy with the gm charger got into the 14s!!

Reaction- .569
60FT - 2.068
330FT- 6.084
1/8 ET- 9.375
1/8 MPH 73.66
1000- 12.273
1/4 ET- 14.743
1/4 MPH- 91.30

man that was sweet. I was prolly the only compact car running in the 14s their that day. Except for a Neon srt4 that was high 14s low 15s. A lot of people were really impressed with the speed of my lil car. Damn this is sweet, i have a really good chance of getting into the 13's with minor boltons now!!

I didnt beat to many cars cause i think i was one of the smallest cars their. But i did beat a mustang 5.0, i scared the crap outa a few other mustangs. I got murdered by a SVT lightning. All in all it was a great night. Oh and just on a side note, last time i was there without the charger i ran a 16.1 best.

Got Boost?

Good run. 14s are good. Need a little work on the reaction times, but looks like you did pretty well.

Why does he need a timeslip? Does it really affect your life enough to be a disbelieving ass? Its not as if hes claiming his car is running 10 seconds or something. Sure a lot of stuff is unbelievable on here but why bother "calling bs" just let it rest. If people want to lie about stuff its not your job to stop it.

Re: my day at the drag strip

uhm...i could be wrong...but isn't a .569 reaction time a lot better than what most people do?? i've seen most people get between .7-1+....isn't .500 perfect? and .499 and under u get a red light?

o n btw Jayson...its accelerator...not excellerator...sorry to sound like an a-hole

Re: my day at the drag strip

if i had a scanner id get you one, but since its so important to you, give me your mailing address and ill mail you one. Also some other times for the night were

[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]

i just could get the 60s down like i did on my first run of 14.7. All the other ones were 2.1. Also a 2 second 60FT feels really good, the excelleration was like damn i had to remember i was still in my lil cavy. Fun times.

Oh and a perfect reaction time is .000 at my track. I know i suck. But ive only gone twice to the track now.

Re: my day at the drag strip

.5 is not perfect reaction.
As of this year, NHRA tracks are on 00.00 tree regardless of the lights (pro .4 or sportsman .5)

You still have .5 to react on the sportsman tree, but the RT is recorded as of 00.00.

Reactiopn time had nothing to do with ET.

As for this run in question, a 2.0 in 60' is impressive with a FWD car.
