Can anyone give me some help, the parking lights don't work. If you bypass the relay they work but the light switch won't pull the relay in.

Re: No parking lights 2002 dodge ram
have you tried swapping with another relay to check if it is the relay?

Yes, one side of the relay coil has 12 volts on it all the time and I think it is grounded by the light switch.

Re: No parking lights 2002 dodge ram
do you happen to have a plug on the rear for a trailer.
the reason I ask is that i have had a few trucks that I have worked on at work that the ground at the rear near the wiring harness has got damaged or rusted of and killed the parking lights. Another thing that comes to mind and it's been a little while since I've dealt with this type of problem did you check all your fuses I'm not sure right off hand but I think there are two fuses related to the parking lights (I Think)one of which I think is under the hood. I work on such a variaty of vehicles it's hard to remember without the vehicle in front of me sometimes |

Re: No parking lights 2002 dodge ram
This may help someone I just replaced the fuse box and the lights work fine. The lights run off a control box on the side of the fuse box.
