Yquem Mclaren High res pics

I think that is the correct name for it. The colour is kind of a two tone red and orange mix and i was wondering if anyone in the community has high resolution images of this luscious colour on the mclaren f1?

Sorry if i have duplicated another post, i did look around to see if their was one!

The only McLaren that was truly painted "Yquem" was the last F1 road car - #075. Unfortunately, you won't find many high res pics of that car, or really many photographs at all.

There are two other cars - Dan Kennedy's #038 was painted a similar color called "Kandy Orange" and there are plenty of photos of it floating around. The other F1 is the last car that Christies auctioned - #073, reportedly painted "Kandy Orange Metallic". There are a decent number of photos of it as well, but again it's not the "Yquem" car you appear to be looking for.

So #75 is still in original road car spec?

The auctioned one was most definitely #073. One of the unique touches on that car is that it has it's chassis number printed on the tachometer. You can see it in these two photos:

As far as I am aware, it's still unmolested. I would assume that car will be preserved rather nicely, in its original configuration, for a very long time.

Are images (6/343 - page 1) and (81/343 - page 7) shown in the album set up by user ( theflinger ) the same Yquem color or is that a different color?

6/343 would be #075, but 81/343 should be Dan Kennedy's #038 shortly after its transformation while it was still at the factory in Woking. That's XP5 next to it.

just a quick off topic. The blue car posted above is a normal f1 with the high downforce kit but is this orange mclaren, actualy a LM or another normal 1 with the HD kit?




basically if anyone has got an high res image of the mclarens on that web page, i wud slober at the feet, and if that doesnt do it for them i would say thanks!

That orange one is neither a true LM, nor is it a road car with the high downforce kit. It is a GTR - #07R.

I think that 640x480 was the original resolution for those shots, so no high res available unfortunately.

That's Mr. Seldorff's 007. Apparently the covers separated, and were intended to be replaced.

Indeed it is 07R, the car that I'VE driven in!!!

Anyway, still need to scan and post the photos from when it was in an orange and silver paint scheme.
