Exclamation 97-98 Eldorado HELP

Hey Everyone! I looked at a couple Caddy's this weekend and took extensive notes on each... so hopefully you can provide me with a little insight.

First, I am looking into purchasing a 97-98 ETC. I came across one which is currently my fav. it's a 97 Black on Black Leather, Bose 12 disc, Heated seats etc, we'll say everything except the sunroof... whatever, It has an oil leak (which I understand is a northstar thing) and perhaps a motor problem in the drivers door. The door panels are loose because they have been I guess attempting to fix a faulty motor? The drivers side window occasionally gets stuck... hmm I think that may be it for the first one. How fixable are these problems?

Second, a 98 Gray on Tan ETC, with a code that continued to appear saying something about oil (which it had plenty of) and to turn off the engine immediatly... well when my sig. other took it for a test drive it drove all right but continued to beep at us and tell us to turn off the engine... also it did have a slight issue when shiting into reverse, I guess you could say it shifter "hard" (?) into reverse. hmm... I think that really it... any insight would be excellent!
