2001 Trooper Transmission problem

I have 61,000 miles on my 2001 Trooper and I just had the automatic transmission fluid changed. I've noticed since then that it has been behaving strangely. It shifts hard into 2nd sometimes. There will be a pause, and when it hits it is hard enough to chirp the tires. It has also been dropping RPMs momentarily on the highway when in cruse control. At times it seems that shifting between other gears is rough as well. Once or twice it has really revved up before settling into the next highest gear.

Could this be a problem stemming from the transmission fluid change, or am I looking at a more serious problem? I was rear ended a few years ago, and I am hoping this isn’t a lingering problem from the accident.

Any advice would be helpful.

Look at the above link. Mine was doing pretty much exactly what yours was doing, including dropping out of cruise control. The fix noted in the link worked for me.
