Colin Powell for President

It absolutely boggles me why Colin Powell will not run for the Presidency of the USA. He has so much respect from the American people, and actually one of the few Political Americans who gets respect from the other countries of this world. I know if he ran he would get almost unanimous votes.

As for voting this year...I hate both of our candidates, but the one im probably going to lean toward will be Bush, at least i know what kind of deceipt Bush will do, god knows what Kerry will F*ck up if HE becomes president. Then again i may just give my vote to the Libertarian candidate.

If bush gets in all bets are off. he won't have an election 4 years from now to worry about. he will just do his thing. I personaly think he was holding back trying to get another four years. with out that holding him back it scares me to of whats next.

kerry just flat out scares me. i shutter at the thought of him being president. I just perfer him over bush. I know bush lies and is war hungry. I suspect kerry is much the same.

He'd certainly be a likely candidate but some of his stances on social issues I disagree with.

Yeah, but it's hard to find a politician who is right wing enough for you to agree with on those issues.

I just don't see any one but male WASP's being elected president. I am not against it but I don't see it happening in our near futures.

Re: Colin Powell for President

Powell or even McCain would have made a fine Republican President. I would vote for either over Kerry.

You see it's always the good ones that dont run when they should or end up getting killed(i.e. The Kennedy's)

Re: Colin Powell for President

He'd get my vote cause he has alot going for him: He's not Bush. He's not Kerry. He's not Nader.

Re: Colin Powell for President

Well you've got to keep in mind that Hilary, except in a few liberal states, is considered an evil powermonger. She really can't relate to the average American.

Plus I've seen small children burst into tears when they saw the cover of her book, and as sad as it is I'm not even kidding

and how does that differ from any one else who runs for office. Who do you expect a rich white guy to be able to relate to the average american that can barly pay the bills? the whole system is set up so the rich hold all the power.

Re: Colin Powell for President

I have Democratic tendencies and live in a very liberal part of the country, but I'm not so sure Hilary would get my vote and her success in my state would not necessarily be a lock in a race against Powell.
