Center Console attaching points

Hi all,

If you have a standard hatch (there ususally don't have the center console between the seats) and if your interested in adding one, are the mounting points (to put the screws into) in the floor as is in the Si?

Thanks.

Re: Center Console attaching points

there is 2 bolt holes going through the floor,in the center of the consol,
& you can actually see the ground,
but now theres several different styles of consols,
I'm talking about the long one, covers e-brake & shift boot,

Re: Center Console attaching points

Any console out of either a hatchback or 4-door will fit. I have a 4-door console in mine and everything did bolt right up. But when you do get the console, make sure you get the bracket up front for the part around the shifter knob. Also, you'll have to cut off a nice square section around the shifter so the bracket can be attached to the chassis. And yes it doesn't matter what model type it's from either. They will all work.

If you get it out of a 4-door, you'll get an ashtray in the back part of it. I don't smoke, but it's a good thing to have if someone does want too. And I've never seen any hatchback center consoles have ashtrays on them. Good luck.

Yes sir, all 4th gen's have them too little holes there and they are the same size and length apart so any console from any 4th gen will fit. And those holes are for the bracket to attach to, like I was telling you before. You just have to cut a good square (not to big so it will show on the sides on the console once you install it), bolt the two bolts in and your done.
