Talking Finished: AMT 70' Chelleve SS

Ok this model was my 4th model and I never took pictures of it unitl today . I made this model because i wanted to build a replica of my Dads car back in the days. (wished he never sold it ) I use tamiya Gold to paint it i add wider wheels in the back, I also wheathered the front grill and the rims 2. There isnt that much detail because i was still a newbie so i hope you guys like it

Re: Finished: AMT 70' Chelleve SS

Great colour! Maybe you could restore it with a little bit more detail on the engine and some chrome trim... It would be awesome..

Re: Finished: AMT 70' Chelleve SS

Pretty nice paint job for a newbie!
Painted window trims, mirrors, whipers and why not a little wiring of the engine bay, and it will look almost like a pro!
I know nothing about the kit -just heard about the quality of AMT kits - but if it's really not such a good one, you managed to hide it perfectly!

Well, with my pretty evolving skills in modelling, I'm not that good even if it's my 30th model !!! Great Chevelle.

Beautiful work but it's a '71; the '70 had four headlights and different wheels. Still a very fine build!!

My dad had a '67 SS 396 Chevelle "back in the day," wish he never sold that one either! Good build, I think I'm on my 40th model and the paint still doesn't come out that well (probably has something to do with my patience, or lack thereof)

AMT kits are extremely kit-and-miss, I've had some that I don't know how they stay together because the parts fit so poorly, and I've had some that fit so well they make the Revell counterparts look shoddy. I'm always willing to risk it though, because AMTs are usually so much cheaper than Revells!

P.S. I like the wheels
