2000 dodge stratus problem???

My aunt has a 2000 dodge stratus and she has a check engine light came on. this is the 6th time this thing has givin her this light since shes had the car... shes sick of bringing it to the dealership and gettin ripped off....

i work a little on my car a little. How can I find out what code her car is giving, and where i can find it... do i need any special tools to tell me whats wrong with it

my honda just blinks the code, im not sure how the stratus does it..

you need a OBDII code reader to check it. they are over 100.00 unless you know someone else cheaper.

Take it to Autozone if there is one near you. They will read you the code for free
