S14 fuel gauge question

my fuel gauge is stuck at full , hahah CRAP!! now i know if i turn off the key the needle should go down... its just how it is! but this time it never goes down, so even if the floating thing got stuck inside the fuel tank the needle would still go down when i turn off the key correct? so obviously its the needle? right?! .. so in other words i have to change the fuel gauge sensor behind the cluster? anyone had this prob before or have solutions? let me know. Thanks

Re: S14 fuel gauge question

Your needle goes down when you turn the key off? Did you replace it with an electrical gauge?

thats how it was before, i turn off key and gauge goes down to E then i turn key on and it shows me how much i have. Now gauge never goes down, ever since i got full tank of gas it just stays up there, and i have been driving for about 200 miles now.
