Re: Insurance question...bahh

not sure where you live but if you get on Progressive's site and fill out the info they will give you a quote right then...

I live in the 2nd highest ins rate area and pay $180 a month for two fully covered Z28's but I'm also 27 and on my parents plan with 6 cars...

Does he live with you because you should put it under your name and he will be insured if he lives in the same household,

you're gonna have to talk to a rep from one of the companies. there's really no way that one of us is gonna be able to give as good of an idea as them...

Re: Insurance question...bahh

I pay about 350 a month for my 89 and my 2000 isuzu. They tried charging me 800 something and they also throw in a 20% high performance addition.

Its certainly not going to be cheap unless you go through yourself.

16 yr old + boy + z28 = a lot of money for insurance. Look into all the discounts you can possibly get - safety equipment, grades, etc.

Re: Insurance question...bahh

holy shit.. you americans do things funny..
discount for grades?? $250 a month for an 89?!?!?! high performance addition?!

man.. i got it good.. my 91Z28 was $80 a month cdn (thats about 65usd) and my supra is about 90 dollars a month ($70usd) and its cheaper if I plate it for a year at a time.. I thought I was paying TOO MUCH!

also, insurance here is based on a few technical aspects of the vehicle like wheelbase etc. Gender, age, etc etc have NOTHING to do with insurance..
My insurance goes up a bit because I have a bad driving record but thats it

Im 18...and insured for only liability on my truck with no tickets, no accidents, and B honor roll....$180 a month...FOR A BEATER TRUCK. I dunno about UK, but over here in America you need to pay extra money for being born with more than 4 limbs...oh man don't even get me started on insurance...haha.

Re: Insurance question...bahh

If he is going to be on your policy it should be reasonable I think. If he is going to have his own policy forget about it. I was quoted $400-$500 a month on a late model camaro when I was 18 and some insurance companies won't even insure young people on those types of cars. I pay $260 a month right now at 22 with a $1000 deductible and a clean driving record. I hate insurance!
