Unhappy 1995 BMW 525i - Winshield Washer Jets Not Spraying

I bought a '95 525i from a gentleman in NJ who was selling the car on Ebay. We ended up paying $7,450 for the car. Among other problems the winshield washer jets are not spraying. Yes - I did make sure there was fluid and I checked fuses. Any suggestions?

Also,

1. The light behind the A/C Heating knobs does not stay on. How do I access this?

2. Apparently he had a tire sitting on the back seat for a while because I can still see the writing on the leather back rest. Any suggestions?

Thanks!!

Have you tried blowing them out, the former owner maybe used tapwater and there could be chalk in it, I had it with one of mine.
