v-tech

last night i was on the highway tired as shit and a civic v-tech (manual and had exhaust who knows what else) rolls next to me and takes off. He slows down and were dead even and we both punch it and i beat him we got up to probably around 90 or so. Anyway i know our cars can crush civics its jus usually in my 93 base auto with only intake and sport mufflers i either tie or dont win. And plus i only had a couple of races i think becuase people are scared of the car and i know my car can take a lot out there (waitin on the vr-4). It just felt good to take 1 down and just wanted to know if those v-techs are even fast at all? Only thing that sucked is my contacts were all blurry cuz i was tired and it was rainin out so i couldnt see to good but it was still fun as hell haha. Hit me back guys thx. And to think i use to like those v-techs and thought they were sumthin until i got a GT

Re: v-tech

yeah v-tec can be very fast.

from a civic to a acura nsx
from a integra to a honda S2000

on a side note, please don't race when you can barely see out of your contacts, thats just not safe, and or smart.
be carefull out there

Yeah some v-techs are very fast. Honda might produce silly little cars for the domesticated family man, but the aftermarket is what really makes those cars shine. you can get a beater civic for like $3000.00 and drop like $7000.00 into it and have a serious street ride for half the price that it would cost to get a new compact sport. I saw a civic dx turbo massacre a dodge SRT-4 like three nights ago........I cant even beat the SRT-4.........

Nah man, I got a base! you would get tired of seeing me post war story after war story if I had a VR-4. I had to get the base (the wife needed a car too).

Re: v-tech

Make a list of the aftermarket mods that you cannot do to a civic. There's like 2. Lol. V-techs have a lot of potential if your willing to drop a good 7-10k on aftermarket mods.

only fast civic i've ever seen was one with an H22 motor swap with fully built internals, a T3/T4 turbo and nitrous, and even then he was only running 12s

what a shame, i've seen VR-4s throw on a $20 intake, $18 manual boost controller, gut their precats which cost nothing, and run 12s too

Re: v-tech

Wow, maybe it's just the fact that alot of rice boys only talk about how fast civics CAN be, but that seems real slow for a car thats got all that.

I used to talk smack about Civics too, specially since the ones you always see are slow and the ones that are supposd to be mad fast are still waiting on thier JDM motor and turbo kit. then I took a little trip to Morroso Speedway in West Palm (a.k.a. hurricane alley) and my mind set on Civics changed for ever.....they are fast. Maybe only about 5% but still, those 5% where running 10s all day long. It dosent mean I have to like em but I can admit there are some fast ass civics, integras and other hondas out there.

Re: v-tech

Italian Lunaticz, did you get the black pipe or the polished one? What color is the filter and hose? All the stuff that's needed to install the intake came with the package, right? Thanks again.
