alarm activates on its own
Hello everyone. I have a 200 grand prix GTP The factory alarm keeps going off usually at night. I tried switching the two relays. same thing goes off again.Tried adjusting the sensitivity same thing again. Is there anything else i can check. My next step would to probably change out the Body control module. If i knew where it is?

I know that it is very sensitive to noise and certain frequencys...also could have to do with ham radio or other types of radio signals....even my fork lift when driving by my car would set it off.I know in one apt complex I use to drive into,I could set off a few alarms just by keying my mike on the company radio.Mine does go off from time to time and no one is around.Ive just learned to live with the problem, and get up and look and see if anyone is around

Re: alarm activates on its own
My 99 Grand prix did the same issue. You can turn down the sensitivity or turn off the alarm on alot factory gm alarms, the instructions are in your owners manual.
