2002 regal won't start

any ideas are appreciated.

I replaced the battery 2 months ago after the car needed jump starting twice. And now its happening again. 3 times in the last two weeks.
used to own a 97 regal and had the same problem. took 6 months of being in and out of the shop to find out it was something to do with the computer. does anyone else have this problem. Can anyone elaborate more on the computer issue so when i call the repair shop they don't insist on replacing the alternator.

thank you

if it is computer related, it is one of your engine sensors....maybe your crank and/or cam position sensor, your TPS may be bad, etc. is the starter okay? what does the car do when you attempt to start it? if it makes just a click, your starter solenoid is probably bad. if it cranks but won't start, it may be a fuel or ignition problem. if it does absolutely nothing, it may be a sensor that has failed. hope this helps at all.
