stillen header and amz header specs

How large are the primary runners on the stillen and amz headers, are they 1 5/8's? How big of a difference do u guys think primary runners of 1 1/2 would be suppose to 1 5/8's? I got some headers that are 1 1/2 and am contemplating whether or not i should get rid of them and get the amz headers. i dont really want to get rid of them if there is really no big difference in power gains.

The potential gains are probably in the area of about 1 hp. Really, unless you are trying to flow something like 800 hp worth of air, its not going to make too much difference. Unless you can sell your 1 1/2s for more than the cost of the 1 5/8s, its not really going to be worth it.

the gains aren't worth the $300 imo.

Re: stillen header and amz header specs

well c'mon, 1-2 hp gain for $300? never. plus, i decided to devote all my money to maintinence (sp), i feel i have a fast enough car (raced a wrx the other night with a bov and exhaust and i kept up with him). after the few pepole i have raced, i think my n/a is a little bit faster than stock.

Well you could just go the simple route and get an intake or something. JWT popcharger goes for $100. I'm kind of kicking myself now because I could have gotten a second popcharger with the dual intake kit I ordered for only another 30 dollars. Then I could have had two fresh ones and given the other one to the winner of the Past Z Forum Last Man Standing Super Killer Mega Death Annihilation Hand to Hand Combat Killing Spree (the PZFLMSSKMEAHTHCKS). 20/20 hindsight I guess.
