should I buy a 316 '89 !?

i 've been offered a 316 '89 ! is it a good car ! and could someone give approx HP !?
i know it 's 1600 cc 4 cylinders !

according to this your looking at 98 HP


this is a BMW spec page


the car isnt an I or an IS, or is it just a plain 316..if its in good shape it has tons of possibilities...

316's definately arent known for their any speed or horsepower. The only reason i would buy one is if i could afford some sort of engine swap. But the '89s do have the newer style bumpers, and look alot better than older e30's. Of course it will have a huge amount of mods that you could do, but starting with less than 100 hp, im not sure its worth it.

its not worth it for flat out racing, but if you slap a few mods on re-do the tranny and rear end, the suspension and rims, you end up with a toy car thats more fun to drive then a vtec civic...that or you end up with a reliable daily driver...
