Rattling in the front end
My 97 aurora has a rattling in the front end. It only rattles as you make right hand turns. If the engine is running the noise is louder. I can repeat the noise by rocking the car from left to right. The noise is not as loud though. If I push the car up and down then it won't make a sound. Any Ideas?

Re: Rattling in the front end
tie rod ends, controller arm, shocks, struts, u joints, maybe even an issue with a loose lug nut. does any of the sound come from near the belts under the hood?

Re: Rattling in the front end
It sounds like something metal hitting the fan but it is coming from underneath the car. I have soaked the controll arms and eveything else with white lithium grease and I still have it. I believe it is the half shafts.

Re: Rattling in the front end
Do you think its possible that anything has been dropped in there or somthing that may be causing the rattling. Maybe a socket or somthing, I have a buzz I believe from a little peice of plastic I dropped down there, unsuccessful finding though.

Re: Rattling in the front end
check the engine/tranny mounts. when turning the engine may actually shift to one side. i had a similar issue and found a bulletin relating to the engine mount behind the top of drivers front wheel
