98 4 cyl misses, spits, sputters when cold
I have a 1998 Wrangler with a 2.5 4 cyl, 73000 miles. Real bad cold miss and backfired today after stomping on it and letting off. It hesitates and sputters until you feather the gas pedal. I am thinking fuel filter also, but what sensors could be bad? O2 maybee, and what about a coolant temperature sensor to the computer (not a thermostat)? Any ideas greatly appreciated. No trouble codes either.

When was your last tune up (plugs, cap, rotor, fuel filter) if your sensors were the problem you should get a light.
