Hey guys. Im thinking about getting a 240, and Im wondering if I should get an S13, S14. I heard the S14 is the best drifter, but the S13 is just so 1337. If I get the S13, im gonna put an RB26DETTTTT in it, and if I get the S14, im gonna get the RB20DET, cause its the best drift/drag motor. Keep in mind, I wanna drift just like Takumi!!

Sorry guys, I love the 240 also, but its becoming the next Civic....now Im waiting for all the bandwagon ricers to jump in and say, "RedFC3S, your right, im tired of all the ricers, cause Ive been in to drifting before it was popular!"

if you have the money get a S14 since they are generally in better condition. also they have a slightly longer wheelbase and have a inch wider track then the S13. all this leads to better high speed stablity if you like to play on the highway. also the S14 is less prone to understeer compared to the S13. however the S13 usually weights 200 lbs less. so its cheaper to make it faster in the straight line, and it should stop better, and feel more nimble casue of the size and weight difference.

you know, it's things like this that make me sad.

people are all like "uhhh the 240SX is the next civic uhhh blah blah bandwagon jumpers blah blah ricers blah blah i'm selling my 240 so i don't look like a ricer"

well i hate bandwagon jumpers and ricers as much as the next guy.

but fuck! if you're an actual ENTHUSIAST of the 240SX, you wouldn't CARE how many people owned them. you would still want to buy one because you like it so much.

people are like "the SR20 is played out, get a different motor" or "buy something other then the 240SX cause everyone has one now"

the SR20 is "played out" because it's a good engine. a good engine means alot of people are going to want it. sure, some of those people out there who do the swap don't know jack shit about it and just do it to fit in and be "1337", but who the fuck cares?

personally, i have loved this car since i first learned about them in 1997. the only reason that i'm now considering other options (namely an FC3S) is because it's nearly impossible to find a rust-free S13 up here. i don't CARE how many people have the SR20 swap, and i don't CARE how many people have an S13. i still love them and would only be buying one and doing the swap to make ME happy, not to fit in or anything. fuck what anyone else thinks of me or my car. they can call me a bandwagon jumper all they want, in the end i'll have the car i want and be happy with it.

Suislide, I agree with you 100%, I love the 240, love the SR, hell, why do you think I post in this forum so much. The only point I was trying to make, is that it gets crazy hearing the same questions wondering if you can put a RB25DET in a 240. Doesnt this get on anyones nerves?
