Re: yard lights

if it shines in your windows it's illegal (I forget the technical name of the violation), complain and the cops will go tell them to aim the lights so they shine only on their own property.

and please, use some more punctuation.

So maybe the cops can put out the zillion watt city street light right outside my bedroom window.

Re: yard lights

Yeah... I can see how that'd be bad. Almost as bad as the streetlight I used to have outside when I was little. It shined through my window with the blinds up and with them down it looked like a creepy hand waving in front of the window from the tree. Lose-lose right there. I was a tortured kid.

Re: yard lights

ha! not where I live... this place is crawling with cops and has the highest average income in the state. Last worthwhile thing that happened was a bank robbery in which no one realized the guy was robbing the bank. That was more than a year ago. Call them and say "my neighbors are being loud" or "there's a dog barking down the street" and you'll have them knocking door to door telling people to be quiet. Sometimes you'll even see 2 cop cars just parked in a parking lot idling and the cops just sit there and talk for 20 or 30 minutes...

Re: yard lights

How about we rule out the dark? Never have the absence of light, YES!
Just cut some wires or something, shut down all their power

Re: yard lights

people with super bright yard lights are slightly less annoying than people who post in forums and don't use any punctuation to separate their ideas.

If its slightly less annoying then your going to lose a lot more sleep by this post than a glarring light irradiating into your room at all hours of the night.

Re: yard lights

I agree with BP2K. How can any of us sleep at night (lights or otherwise) knowing that the English teachers of America are failing so miserably?
