Post Shaving the emblems off...

Ok.. So I'm looking to take off the Z24, and the bowtie emblems off of my car, and I'm not exactly sure how to do it... I had a friend, suggest to me, and the way he did his S10, was to get a blow dryer, heat up the emblem, and take a piece of fishing line, and basically "saw" the emblems off of the car, then take adhesive remover to take care of what's left behind...
Does anybody know if that's the easiest way, or is there any other method that will work, any better or take less time??

Thanks

I've never tried a hair dryer but i have used fishing line, works pretty good. after that i just scrubbed really hard with a wet wash cloth, i wouldn't use a chemical on it because it might mess up your clear coat. good luck

Re: Shaving the emblems off...

there is this eraser type thing you can buy at your local autoparts store that you hook into your drill and it takes all the adhesive of in a instant and doesn't hurt your paint at all.

use a hair dryer or heat gun and a puddy knife with some sort of wax paper on it. Heat up the emblem then take your puddy knife and push it along the under side of the emblem itself.
