Operation: Veilside Drag RX-7

Wow, finally my computer is alive again, but in the time of my absense, I've been putting alot of time into a side project. (untill I get the ungerglow system I need for my truck and decide if it needs new paint)
I had pictures from day one of the pretty much super custom model.
But seeing as my mom is digital camera illiterate, I lost all my progress pictures.
But I'll list of the mods up to this point in time.
100% Custom Undercarrage (still in progress)
100% Custom Supercharged V8 (done)
100% Custom Engine bay (done)
100% Custom Struts on front wheels (50% done)
100% Custom Wheelie bar, and parachute (done)
Massive Drag Wing (done)
Custom Cowl Induction Hood (done)
4 point hood pins (in planning)
Drag Slicks and front runners (done)
Rollcage (in planning)

"The more this car comes to be a dragster the more is begins looking like a Camaro or Firebird" - My Dad

I'll post pics as soon as possible, but this project is real fun.

(for those that are following my other projects, The R33 Skyline is finished, the R32 is waiting on wheel assembly, the Spoon S2000 had a major accident (fell during paint), the F-150 is waiting on underglow, and a choice on wheter or not to keep the paint, and the Civintegra is waiting for time)

While the cheesy title, edgy misspelled quote by your father, and 100% custom work (ever seen my 94.6% custom parts? ) are really amazing, how about some pics? Haven't you all learned by now not to post threads that need pics?

Well it appears not all were lost, I have a few from the
the begining of construction of the Engine and the Engine Bay.

Here's the mock up of the Engine Bay, just a solder frame to be
skirted by cardboard.

Here's a better snap.

Here's a snap of the cardboard in place.

And here's a snap of my strut. (not going to stay green lol)

Here's an above shot, not sure if you can see the bolts in it. (circled red)

And here's my behemoth engine to be crammed into this car.
It's a combo of a 340 V8 and a 5.0 V8, with a hint of supercharger.

Here's the end result, nice shiny finish, and carbon fiber valve covers.

Here's a veiw underneath the cowl, with the air funnel staring back at you.

Here's the engine in place.

And here's the whole car sitting on jackstands, with carbon hood and rear hatch.

And finally, here's it sitting on it's wheels.
(you can see the green spring behind the front wheel lol)

Tell me what you think so far. And I'll post pics of the
wheelie bar and parachute soon.

Heh, well maybe the Engine isnt a 100% custom deal, but it's probly about 80-90%, took a while to make, but hey, the rest is all scratch built.
