96 Accord shifting troubles
I have an automatic 96 Accord that has had no major problems and is running at about 130k miles. Recently the transition between gears has been very jerky particularly between 30 and 45mph. The timing belt was replaced at 90k. Any suggestions on what this problem might be would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks! |

Re: 96 Accord shifting troubles
first check tranny fluid level and condition of the oil (how does look and how does it smell). if you haven't done a tranny oil change in a while...try that first and see if that helps. if not...most likely the clutches inside are worn needs to be replaced. if that is the case. call around a compare prices between having it rebuilt and just pickin one up from the junkyard.
