SL sypder

Ok, so I'm not even sure if anyone on this board even has an SL spyder, however, I'll ask anyway...this link was in another thread:

http://research.cars.com/go/crp/sum...996&modelid=307

Available Styles Original MSRP
2dr Convertible Spyder SL $61,030
2dr Convertible Spyder VR-4 $68,470
2dr Coupe Base $30,690
2dr Coupe SL $35,830
2dr All-wheel Drive Coupe VR-4 $45,580

I knew the vr4 spyder was well over $60k, but the SL sypder was really that much too?
Granted there were only 741 SL spyders produced...but I guess I never realized making a $35k car into a convertible would nearly double the price. I guess it makes sense, but it just seemed alot to pay for a 15 sec car.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

I didn't think the SL Spyder was quite that high. The hard top convertable was basically a 20K option on the VR4, I wonder why it would be more then that for the SL....
