just got a cavalier
hey how u guys doin. just bought my cavalier an 04. just the basic one with a 5 speed manual. didnt want all the things that came with the higer ones. i am more an audio guy on the inside but i love workin under the hood. i am just wondering what things can i do to get some more power to the wheels? not looking to go crazy but do wanna have enof so at the lights i can take out those civics with the huge chery bombs every so often. and where can i find the upgrades online?
origonally i had an 88 corsica which was a great car so i deacided to stick with chevy. so im hopeing ill get the same result

ecotec should take out civics no problem with no aftermarket mods. If u still want more, go for an intake, exhaust, headers.

^^^Very much agree with what Jayson said...you could also look at putting on a new Throttle Body, along with the intake, exhaust and headers...It should give you a little more horsepower, as well as some better pickup off the line...Then just look in your mirror and wave bye bye to the civics..

yah... civics are fun to toy with.... especially in a sedan... ha ha! YOu should see the look on their face... i toyed with an early 90 hatchback today.. the thing had the loudest backfire i've ever heard... he was reving his engine at a light and i crept up behind him and i rev'd mine... gotta love Short-ram intakes with the noise they make...he looks out his window and was like WTF??.... so he punched it at the light and i kept right on his ass... but backed off when he started blowing that nasty black smoke out his 5' exhaust...i was tempted at that point to pass him on a double yellow but i'm not a crazy ass mofo... i know where to draw a line of stupidity and fun...

yeah i use to mess with them real bad with a corsica it might off looked like a piece from the outside but under the hood was the 3.5 hi fi motor seeing them lose to that was great. as for passing on double yellow lines yeah i have been stupid and really deserve to be on the pavement by now. and the reason the caris now dead. so those days are over dont wanna crack the block again
