BMW540 - new to me, upgrade ideas? anyone?

Hey all....just got a 1998 540i, 6sp, blk/blk.....and its BONE STOCK! Sooo what should I do???

1) keep it stock
2) Do tint, fin, body kit, general outside appearance stuff.
3) Sound system (*)
4) Chip, exhaust, motor stuff
5) 18 or 19 inch rims, suspension/brakes.


LETS SEE WHAT THIS FORUM CAN COME UP WITH.....YES THATS A CHALLENGE!!!!!

How much money do you have to spend is the real question. My suggestion is before you add parts to make it go faster make it stop and turn better. This way you may be less likely to have an accident.

Break Pads
Break Rotors
Steel braided Break Lines
Calipers
Suspension
Shock Tower Braces
Sway Bars
Springs
Shocks
Then there are always go fast parts available.
Engine
Computer Chip
Supercharger
Headers
Cams
Cat Back Exhaust system
Cold Air Intake
Intake Manifolds
Etc.
Wheels and Tires, Exterior, Interior Appearance parts are all nice ways to make your car special but they do take away from what little sleeper factor a BMW 540 has. In my opinion the stereo system does leave one wanting. I think that it would require quite a bit of research due to the fact there a quite a few things linked into the system.
