What was the first thing you did to your civic when you bought it?
I got this idea from a thread in the camaro forums from a member called y2icon. "What was the first thing you did to you camaro when you bought it?" Im asking the same question but about civics. Me, I first bought it a head unit and some speakers. That same day I got an intake, steering wheel cover and floor mats. That was all. Now I have added two bazookas and a kenwood amp. Oh, I also did a tune up to it about 3 days after I got my car.

Well, I bought mine brand new w/ 6 miles on the odometer, so I didn't do a damn thing to it for about 5 years except putting a bra on it and a steering whell cover. Once I paid it off, I started replacing some stuff that looked shitty (for instance, I had spilled some epoxy on the center console and in the cup holder, so I replaced them). Then one day my muffler went to shit. I decided to replace the cat-back with a bigger pipe. Then I got a crack in the exhaust manifold, so I bought a header. By then, I was on a roll. New intake, spark plugs, rims (still 14", but wider tires) rotors and pads, drums and shoes (I like my drum brakes - they give the car character), shocks and coilovers... and so on and so on.
I'll never swap out the engine (until it drops dead, and then I'll put another D16 in it). I have no plans to win any races or auto shows, but I've had a lot of fun keeping it looking and running good.

Head unit (because theives stole the kenwood that was in it before I actually got the car) and put an autometer tach in the same day, because it's my first 5 speed and I didn't want to blow the thing up.

first thing i did was change out the factory head unit with a sony, then did a thorough tune up, changed the spark plugs and wires installed a short ram intake, catback exhaust, tint-sprayed my headlights and tailights, the next day i got the windows tinted and put my 17" rims on...that was a pretty busy weekend for me!!!

just bought a 92 cx and i installed factory fog lights and new cat back exhaust.
