Rear stabilizers
i have replacment stabilizers for my rear. the old ones wont come off easliy. the old ones or broke and not even making contact with the rear sway bar. i've been told that this is bad. are there any special tools i need to remove the old ones? would i just be better off taking it to a garage a letting a pro deal with it? if you need any other details just ask. any ideas at all would be much appreciated. thanx

Re: Rear stabilizers
if you are talking about the stabilizer links the job is easy. you will need basic hand tools and a pair of vise-grips (these will be used to hold the round part of the links while you unscrew the nuts on each end of the link.) make sure you install the new link with the rubber mounts installed in the correct order. just look at the old mounts to determine the order in which they are installed.
Good Luck! |
