she lived through her first cat. 4 hurricane

finally the worrying is over, incase you didnt know, there waas a category 4 hurrican named ivan that just recently barged through northwest panhandle of florida. i couldnt fit my car in the garage so i had to park it outside after i parked it i looked around and there was only one tree that could fall on it, it was a huge oak...i prayed to god that tree wouldnt come down. well unfortunately at about 2am i stuck my head out side in teh middle of the storm to check on the tree. i came to find the tree leaning at about a 45* and my car in the direct paht of it. then all of a sudden the tree started falling and so did my stocmach. it fell and all i could see was the tree, so i ran in to the garage and looked out the windo to find my car in A+ condition...i was a nervous reck! the tree missed my car by literally inches...

ps: we got the worst of the storm...30-40 ft waves and 40ft wall of water surge that took out 3 of 4 bridges...i have over a dozen friends that have literally nothing...

It sucks to live in Florida right now dude. I live in Miami, so I've escaped most of the "good" parts of the hurricanes. I don't have a garage, so as soon as they said a hurricane was coming I started to wonder where I would leave the cars. Had to end up leaving them on the driveway. Up in Palm Beach, hurricane Jeanne turned over a couple of airplanes that were left out of the hangars. I'm starting to think mother nature is just tired of the state of Florida all together.
