Re: Question About Exaust

Yeah, and induction systems scrap even MORE horepsower!!! Now gimmie MY drugs!!

Now that I have gotten my own smartass response out of the way I'll translate my forum-mates and I's responses in a more simplistic manner.

To answer your post, exhausts do not, I repeat do NOT scrap horespower, acceleration or speed. If someone were to make a statement like that to me, I would politely tell them that they are too stupid to talk about cars, they should never speak to me again, and may God have mercy on their soul.

Re: Question About Exaust

Actually...GTR2B...The Skyline at that the guy drives that manages the Hobby shop (maroon R33...its a dog BTW) used to belong to Jimmy (Matada knows him). Jimmy tried to make it run a bit better before he sold it and look a bit cooler....bought a GTR exhaust system and installed it. I looked nice...sounded better....but ran like crap.

Re: Question About Exaust

Exhaust can rob horsepower, and acceleration. But thats hard to do on such a high horsepower engine as the RB26. Now, if we were talking about an rb20de, and you slap a 3 inch exhaust on it, it would kill back pressure in the system, causing you to lose torque. 2.25" is recommended for NA and mildly tuned cars. 2.5" is great for cars with FI, and 3"...well you better be puttin down some big numbers for that one .
