Mid-90s Sports Compact Cars
I'm lookin for a new car and I wanna spend around $10,000 (Canadian) and get close to or under 100,000km mileage.
So far I've been checkin out: 92-96 Preludes 97-00 Civic coupes 95-99 Integras 98-99 Accord Coupes The accord coupes are hard to find for that price but i always see 1 or 2 Do you guys have any suggestions? Maybe some other cars to take a look at or which one of those would be best. HELP ME OUT!

Oh yea... I forgot to mention that it will be a daily driver, so i have to drive it in the winter too and it has to be 5 spd. No automatics allowed in my family
And also now considering a 1995 240sx |

1990-1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX. Turbo power, and AWD for the winters (and drag race launches
)

I'd like a 95+ GSX but they're too expensive..... I can only find RS and GS in my price range |

Re: Mid-90s Sports Compact Cars
Well then, I'd go with the 240SX or the Integra GS-R.

www.edmunds.com is a good bet. Also, try the 240SX forum.

Re: Mid-90s Sports Compact Cars
Hmmm...... I've always liked the 92-95 shape (EG) Civics the best. They looked much better than the dowdy EK and had rear disc brakes (As opposed to the drum brakes on the EK). Mind you I'm only talking about New Zealand-market Civics, I can't speak for the USM ones.
But I'd take an EG Civic Coupe.

So what is so special about the 92-96 Preludes? Not trying to sound like an ass, I am quite ignorant about these cars.

Re: Mid-90s Sports Compact Cars
Good bang-for-buck and good handling. Not to mention Honda ergonomics and reliability, plus a certain rarity factor.

if i was to get the 93-96 ludes, i would get them in v-tec only. however they're kinda ugly and their dash board is kinda gay.

Re: Mid-90s Sports Compact Cars
I love my brother's 96 VTEC Lude's interior, what dont ya like about the dash TatII? Is it the electronic gauge cluster?
Because thats my favorite part, it looks like it was what inspired the S2000's |

Re: Mid-90s Sports Compact Cars
I guess I have some reading up to do about the prelude. I dunno, I just find it somewhat odd that the prelude gets so much attenion for its handling even though its one of honda's heavier cars.

Re: Mid-90s Sports Compact Cars
the accord coupes are just too slow to really consider, since you could only get a manual trans with the 4 cyl.
