Today I passed throug a stretch of road that usually floods when it rains, IŽve gone through it many many times, but today there was a new pothole underwater that must have formed with the latest rain, I had water go over my hood for about two seconds. I came out ok but when I opened the hood the fan belt was whinning and the sound dampener (foam) on the hood was all wet, almost to the firewall, my question is what do I have to check on the truck??? oil? electrical? Mayne re-grease the u-joints? (I replaced the original sealed ones). Lemme know please!

Re: Way too much water!
oil, most definately. AND DON'T forget the TRANS FLUID. If it was that high it was definatley over your trans breather which is on the top of the bell housing. Also change the rear end oil, i gaurentee there is water in that!
