Cheap, Used 350 5.0 or 5.7. rebuilt or not working. where at!?
Where can I find a used 350 5.0 or 5.7 V8 that will fit my 89 C1500 HD? It has a very tired 305 reaching 300,000 miles on it. Does anyone know of a good catalog or website or anyone selling one for around $200ish or less?
I know im a cheap ass, but I could use most of the parts that aren't trashed on my 305 like electronics, distributer stuff, and whatever else right? If you guys could tell me what I can re-use or any major things I would need to do or where to find em that would be awesome. My mom said she saw a catalog that my uncle had that was selling rebuilt ones for $50 that ran...I have a feeling she misunderstood it, like maybe it was just the block or something. I dunno I looked in the paper a while ago though and someone is selling 2 used 350 Chevy engines one needing rebuild for $100 and the other used with rebuild and runs for $250 but im skeptical. Any help?

You don't have a U-Wrench It or U-Pull it near you. A Pick and Pull type of junkyard would be a great way to get a motor if there is one in your area and you don't mind getting it yourself. A motor from the local U-wrench It yard sells for about $150.

For that price I sure hope I do. I'll look it up and see if there is. Thanks

Awesome! Theres one less than 10 miles from here. It's a $2 charge to go there, but $150 for "any fully assembled engine" sounds awesome. I will probably go sometime this week, thanks for the suggestion a ton.
