86 buicl lesabre starter problems
I'm having trouble removing the starter from my 86 lesabre. I finally found it, but cant seem to get the darn thing out. First of all it seems like it has a guard of some sort over it. If anyone has any tips, or may know of a website that has directions on removal and installation pls help.

You will have to get under the front end of the car to get it out. It has to be taken out as a unit, not separated. There are three bolts on it (if I remember correctly) one on the pass. side (back) and two by the tranny. There shouldn't be a guard on it, that is just the tranny casing. the starter will slide right out when you have it unbolted.
