Question 1962 Chevy Shortbed Stepside

I'm working on a '62 pickup and I want to change the lugs to 5 from 6. Do I need to change the whole rearend, or can I just change the rear axles. I'm new to this so any help will be greatly appreciated

Im sure you can get new axles with a five lug to slide in the old housing. Im not sure what size rearend you have but most have a c clip design which you pull a center pin push in on axles, remove clip and slide the axle out.
