No you shouldn't need any tuning for that small of a mod. The stock sensors will take care of increasing fuel with the more air you're flowing. Get a few more mods and then consider getting something to tune it with, like a V-AFC or Hondata.

wowww~~~~~ thx mann... ur reply really suprised me.... i just took a shower and u have already replied... heheee...
anyway.... I am abt to have the car serviced, and i got an eng flush and replace eng oil and spark plugs... and after doing that, will i be expecting some fresh feeling??? hehehe~~~ coz i feel my car running pretty slow... i mean slower than i expected... the reason why i am saying that is, my frd got a eg with b16a2 also, but when the vtec kicks in, the feeling is really stronger than mine, and his eg is also stock... that really make me feel shittt.... any adviciesss man?? |

Re: after installing air filter
just make sure your vtec is functioning, number one cause is lack of oil in the system.

thx crxlvr.. but how do i make sure if the vtec is functioning? when my vtec kicks in, the most noticeable thing is the change of the sound, but other than that, i don't really have much other feeling...

Re: after installing air filter
Like crxlvr said...usually vtec wouldn't kick in as hard or loud when the oil is low.

Re: after installing air filter
THe only time it wouldn't be workin if its throwing a code. On certain codes. For an example. If its throwing a knock sensor code, it wouldn't engage.

Re: after installing air filter
When you see the check engine light
Then you take it to get a diagnostic test.

ooo~~~~ cool... so, are you saying that, as long as the eng light doesn't come on, then it shouldn't be any problem... rite?
