98 Lumina continuous chime problem

By mistake I shorted the connection to my cigarette lighter. The interior chime now continues to chime all the time. I could not find any fuses blown. The car seems to work fine otherwise. I have unplugged the chime unit to keep my sanity while I drive. What do I have to do to reset/correct and stop the contiuous chiming.

You might have zorched that module. I don't know that there is an answer, short of replacing it. Maybe someone else will know a trick. I don't.

I agree with Jeff, you fried the chime module. I don't know of anything you can do short of replacing it
