2000 Alero tune up

Does anyone have any information or a writeup / diagram for a tune up on a 2000 olds alero? I went to Checker to purchase spark plugs and they told me they use a type of cylinder tube that might crack while removing the plugs. Does anyone have any info on this? Should I go ahead and do it?

Re: 2000 Alero tune up

You have the 4 or the 6? Both are really easy to do. If you have the 4 bangger, you need to first remove the cam cover, then the plugs are right under that.

BTW, how many miles do you have on your car? GM uses plugs that are supposed to last 100K miles, so if don't have anything near that, I wouldn't waste my time or money.
