215 poncho and 230 chevy?

i was told by a guy at a car show that the poncho 215 and the chy 230 inline 6's r the same engine almost. is that true? because it could help me out in buying parts for my 215 which needs a rebuild. if anybody knows any info it would be greatly appreciated thnx.

The 215 has a 3.75" bore, versus the 3.875" bore on the 230. other than that, they are pretty much the same engine. All the bearing part numbers, gaskets, manifolding, etc. are the same. Finding 215 pistons can be an adventure. Egge Machine in California or maybe Kanter Auto Parts in New Jersey...
