94' Camaro

Over the winter my dad an i are going to buy probally at 94' Camaro. we will probally buy one that needs stuff like brakes exhaust wheeles and all that fun stuff. we want to do ALOT of performance mods. we will probally keep the stock motor (the v8) but do stuff like new heads. what kind of air intake should we buy? or should we make our own? how bout exhaust? we want to do to the whole exhaust. We want to redue the whole suspention. this will be my first car for when i turn 16 and ill be racing it at the race track. (highschool program). pretty much we know what were doing except when it comes to the motor. thanks!
Eric

Re: 94' Camaro

intake - slp
exhaust - any 3" cat-back, i guess slp loudmouth
headers - edelbrock long tubes
i would do the LT4 conversion

there are a lot of threads on LT1 performance, run a search on the forum and you should get good info...

Re: 94' Camaro

Oh boy could I ever have fun with this one!!!
CAI! K&N
Z06 85mm MAF! Reprogrammed for the LT1
Vortec elbow
52mm throttle body
Forget the LT4 Conv you can make more power with less money spent... You can have you stock LT1 heads ported and polished and they will out flow the LT4 heads... Or you could buy the LT4 heads and have them reworked to flow even better... Anyways the LT4 cam is small in my opinion... This guy sells cam packages, give him a call he is a real good guy to deal with http://www.cmotorsports.com/
LT1 Cam Kit includes:
LT1 Cam (Incl. Our Lobes, Comp Lobes, any combo)
Spring Kit (EX-612, EX-614)
Comp Pro-Mag RR’s (1.6 or 1.5)
EX Blue Band Valve Seals
EX Hardened Pushrods
Cam Swap Gasket Kit
$599.97
*Comp Cams 7/16 Studs are an option for this kit at $34.97
**Comp Cams R Lifters for LT1 are an option at $199.97
***Kit Price Without Roller Rockers 349.97
Long Tube headers are a must any company that sells them just make they are Jet Hot coated...
Borla, GMMG, Corsa are all good cat back systems.
Suspension, BMR, Global West, Spohn are all great for this car... Make sure to get a track link or torque arm and relocation brackets to drop you ETs...
LT4 Knock module
Custom ECM tuning
LT4 Timing Chain
Get rid of the Air pump, EGR, and Cat.

Re: 94' Camaro

for suspension i like BMR fabrication for all your control points. edelbrock has good shocks, also the HAL QA1 adjustables. eibach is good for springs and you should look into getting a posi-trac differential, if you really want to take some turns...

do not get the GMS one, it sucks and your fuel tables will be off...

You can get the Z06 on from GM or SLP... SLP sells the one set up for the LT1... However if you do get a GM one or the SLP does not work right, I have the MAF Table for it. All you will need is the OBD1 cable and a laptop or Desktop that you can wheel close to the car... I can email you the program to do it... Any other questions about this take to the PM's...

Re: 94' Camaro

i have a quick question about the programer. when i do the whole lt-4 and exhaust will i still beable to use the programer? i think ill beable to but will i have to order it special? and one other thing. would you order the lt-4 kit or buy the parts seporate? ive read that you can get more power cheaper from another cam.

Contact madz28.com or pcmforless.com for all you ECM tuning needs unless you bring it to a shop and have it dyno tuned...

I would order the parts separate because you can make more power with a better bigger cam... As I said before I think the LT4 is a small cam... You could order the complete LT4 kit with heads and just (sell the Cam and Roller Rockers) but (keep the Heads and Intake)...
