the trueo is a 86 toyota corolla hatch back(ae86 chassis)

in america you have to be specific.... its the corolla gts sprinter hatchback. Cause there is the coupe... the coupe here is known as the ae86 and the hatch is known as the ae88. plus need to get it between 83-87 if you dont it will be fwd. just some warning on buying one.

You're wrong there buddy. AE88 is the first numbers of the vin if it's a GTS. It doesn't matter if it's a coupe or a hatch. The AE86 is still a corolla but it's the SR-5 which is still rwd. You're right about the year though. The difference mainly is the engine, SOHC and DOHC. GTS(AE88) being the DOHC.
