Re: 318 wedge ?

You mean a poly 318? Not wedge.

Re: 318 wedge ?

that 318 is call a wide block. mainly makes a good boat anchor. Not sure what year car your working on but with my 64 the only difference is the upper metal mount.

Re: 318 wedge ?

That's not good enough. Many of them look different. It might not even be a 318...

Re: 318 wedge ?

i know its a 318, on my car atleast, its a #'s matching car, that i know its a small block, due to the fact that the distribitor is in the back, and also the block is too wide to be a 273, and, the 340 wasnt around yet. you can still find pic of this motor on the internet

Re: 318 wedge ?

I have one of the rare 318-poly six-pack intake and carbs if you want to make a offer.

Re: 318 wedge ?

Im looking for some input on a 318 wedge motor..........Im rodding a 33 dodge 4 dor sedan .... I picked up a 318 out of a 1990 dodge truck....I also have acess to a 1969 wedge 318 which one would be the best motor to install in my 33......I do not want to put a brain in it to run....Im going for cruising and or long distance traveling....I still would like to have alittle thump to it but something that has "not bad fuel mileage". Im more into the cruising than burning my tires off.......so to speak...
