Here we go again.
Getting ready to leave again. Another hurricane is going to hit the state of Florida again today. Maybe this time I won' t lose another car.
Called body shop to make sure they have the GTX in a safe place, like there's a safe place in this state. Hope to talk to you by Monday. You guys will have to live without my wisdom and great wit. Take care from the "Sun Shine State". Should be the land of "flying mobile homes". Jim

Re: Here we go again.
Well we are back.
The area around us looks like there was a war going on. Homes with no roofs. Car ports laying over homes. Some we can't even find. Just took a guys sign with his name and address on it back to him, from 1 mile away. His house is almost gone. About half left. We stayed at the Days Inn, and the sideing was ripping off the place. ON to peoples cars. In 75 MPH winds, I took the GTP to the car wash next door and covered it. This morning I went to look. The stall next to it had a limb in it that filled the whole stall. My car cover was filled with leaf, but no damage. Can't get thur to the body shop to find out how the GTX is. They have no phone (or power). Four hurricanes in six weeks is enough. I've seen tornados. I lived thur those. They hit one house and jump down the street and hit another three blocks down. Hurricanes take cities. If anyone ever wants to know why the Goverment sends all that money down here, PLEASE come and visit NOW. Then you'll know. They had a lady on TV yeasterday that was mad because her vacation plans where to come down here next week. To her I say, come on down. We can use the help. Boy it's nice to vent. Thanks for thinking of us. We are fine, but for a lot of people down here, they could use your prayers Jim

Re: Here we go again.
That lady who's vacation was ruined is a self-centered lowlife. She can't stop for 2 seconds to think about the people that live there and have lost everything, or nearly everything. Someone ought to go drop a tree on her car. I'm glad to hear you guys are okay, and we'll send plenty of prayers to all of you. On another note, up here in Flint, MI, we had a radio fundraiser for the Florida hurricane victims. All the competing radio stations banded together and set up collection sites all over Genesee Co., and raised a bunch of money, as well as collecting food, building supplies, etc... I donated both plus my time helping collect, so I hope our efforts up here give hope to all who lost so much.

Re: Here we go again.
Thanks Guys,
Rick, I lived in Michigan most of my life. My Mother-in-law has been here for like 30 years. She'd call and tell us about everything that had happened down here, after a hurrican. I'd think lady it's only wind. Boy, I will never say that again. There are people down here that got hit by ALL 4 HURRICANES! They showed maps of the tracks as they crossed the state. With in 50 miles all four crossed the state. They showed 2 semi's that parked at one store. The guy asked them if they could park in front, to save his windows. One was picked up and thrown into the lake next to the place. The other blow right into the front. Apt. on the beach had 8' of water come into their places. They now have inside beaches. With like 3' of sand. Cass, Heard that one. And most others. But they are still funny. GTX is fine. Can't get into the place, but could see in the windows. Hood and spoiler will have to wait. Going to take the money for them and give it to the Red Cross. They need it more. Thanks again, Jim

Re: Here we go again.
You know what I just figured what has me the maddest. I picked up the GTX today and put the GTP in the barn. On the way home I couldn't even get on it once. With all the limbs down and the lights out. Plus I wanted to take it to the beach and take some pictures. Only kidding.
They showed about 4, Ford 4 wheel drive trucks by the coast, racing thur the water. The news reporter stopped them and told them, "Do you know that salt water your going thur?" Now you know how red necks trucks rust out. You have to love them. The people down here are back to every day life. Don't know where their going to live, but I think they are used to it. I always miss Michigan, but lately a lot. Thanks again, Jim
