normal temperature

hello everyone,,,,i have a question regarding the normal operating temperature of the aurora...mine is a 95',,when the vehicle has been ideling for a while the temperature gauge will reach (1) notch before the red mark..it never goes into the red but comes close..is this nornal for ALL aurora's ?? as soon as i start driving,especially on the highway the temperature will go down to about 220 degrees..my question is do all aurora's run hot like this...it has never over heated but comes close to the red zone when ideling...thanks
