Question Chopping the top off my 89 Z24

Ive got 2 89 Z24 5 speeds. the red Z24 roof rotted due to the sunroof. Does anyone know the right way to support the body when i chop the top off so it wont buckle? Being on disability i cant afford to buy an 89 convertible. Any help would be appreciated! Marty

don't even try it. your car is a unibody, and without extensive welded in support, both along the back seat crosswise, and the "frame" for and aft, the car will twist and bust your windshield.
