hello

I recently aquired an 02 GT.

I'd like to put in a throttle body spacer, a cold air intake, and a jet chip PCM. I figure $100 for the spacer, $200 for the intake, and $200 for the chip.

Now, my questions are-

What one of the three should I do first, since I can't really spend all that at once.
And, what type of HP increase can I expect from each upgrade?

I wouldnt buy a jet=Junk ....there are much better out there, either one from www.Intense-racing.com or DHP from www.3800performance.com and on a GT I wouldnt waste the money for a TB spacer.Sorry

1st CAI/FWI
2nd Intense or DHP PCM

Check out this link for a few ideas that you could do to a GT

As much as I'd like to get a DHP chip, I will not add anything that will require me to use premium fuel. If I wanted to use premium, I would have gotten a GTP.

As far as the TB spacer, if I get any kind of improvement as far as gas mileage, I'll be happy. I could care less about the HP boost, if any, from this mod.

What CAI is best? Thrasher? Wizair?

Are there any performance chips that DON'T require premium fuel?

Re: hello

20 more cents per gallon... youll forget your even paying it after a month go for the DHP. Get the Cai first, then catback would be a good idea, then the chip. As far as the CAI, look into either the MSP or the wizaired. The thrasher looks the best, but performancewise it is not as good.

If I wanted to use premium fuel, I wouldn't have wasted the time and money on a GT. For a high school kid like me, that extra 20 cents per gallon breaks the bank.

If somebody is willing to do something that makes their GT require premium fuel, why wouldn't they just buy a GTP in the first place?

Looks like the Wizaired CAI will be the first thing. When I need new mufflers, I'll see what they can do about the U-bend.

Are there any other small upgrades that will gain or free up a few horses?
