car warm up problem ??

in the morning , i alway warm up the car until the point hit the first mark , then i run abit , it point go up in the middle , then i take it to the hightway , run abit , the point is go down and not in the midle any more , is this normal , sorry for not write good english , please try to understand . thanks

ok i think what you mean is you let it warm up till it hits the first line on the gauge then it heats up to half and stays there untill you start driving at highway speeds and it starts cooling back down? If thats the problem i would say its the thermostat. on my car it would go up to half and stay there until you start driving at all and then drop to almost nothing because the thermostat was busted and stuck open! just means it doesnt close off the ciruit when its cold and the water runs through the radiator the whole time. they cost like under 10 bucks at autozone and your need a gasket kit too. i think thats what you were getting at let me know peace
