Rim size and weight question- 17x7 rim?
I have a friend who is selling some 17x7 rims, they weight 19 lbs-
is that a good weight? my concern is that i read some people put bigger rims on their cars and the rims made the car slower. so- i'm hoping for a light rim. is 19 lbs a light rim? -clifford

It's not light but I wouldn't call it heavy either. Racing Hart and Volk make a 17" wheel that weighs around 13lbs. That's a light wheel.

My flipping wheels weigh 24lbs! It's sad .. :/ - blame the dumb buyer (me!) lol. So that is a light wheel compared to mine

My 17" RH Evolutions weight about 18# each. When i was wheel shopping i checked the weights of all the wheels i looked at and would not buy anything 20# or heavier. If you're getting a good deal on the wheels, i'd say go for it. You shouldn't notice any decrease in performance.
